Pets are bundles of love wrapped in fur! 

Pets help teach children love, care, kindness, and compassion; by learning to take good care of a pet, children will be able to demonstrate these characteristics better in everyday life. The children were asked to bring with them their favorite stuffed animal as a representation of a pet. The objective of this activity was to have the students know how to take care of a pet and show respect towards it using good care habits.

The teacher also demonstrated how to care for a pet using a real-life dog; explaining the steps of caring for a living animal. The students also had the opportunity to develop their fine motor skills by creating their own pet collars.
